Rush hour train under COVID-19
April 11, 2021
Vaccines are yet too far away for most citizens in Japan, where COVID cases are gradually increasing again. People are tired of restrained life and moving in and around Tokyo.
Although less people are hanging out after work, morning scenes seem to be quite different.
Crowded rush hour trains have resumed.
A train is too packed by passengers to close the doors. 2 meter social distances does not work at all. Only different thing from pre-COVID time is that every passenger wears a mask.
Masks sure to be effective to prevent infections, but I want to avoid such packed trains.
It was around 8am when the train was so crowded, and there were much less people on board around 10am on different morning.
Regardless company’s directive, I would like to work at home, or commute in less crowded hours anyway.
